Become a Registered Behavior Technician
Open Doors ABA is growing, and we are looking for people who want to do meaningful work with children on the autism spectrum. As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you work one-on-one with a child, following a treatment plan written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and delivering it session by session.
This is hands-on work. You will be in homes, in clinics, and in the community, teaching communication, daily living, and social skills through play and structured practice. Every child learns differently, so no two days look the same.
We hire for attitude and train for skill. If you are patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy being around kids, we would like to hear from you, whether you already hold your RBT credential or you are just starting out.
What the role looks like
A snapshot of how RBTs spend their day with us.
Direct therapy
Run one-on-one ABA sessions with your assigned clients, following the behavior plan and adjusting your approach to how the child is doing that day.
Data and progress
Track skill acquisition and behavior data during each session so your supervising BCBA can see what is working and refine the plan.
Family support
Work alongside parents and caregivers, share what happened in session, and help them carry strategies into everyday routines at home.
What We Look For
You might be a good fit if
- You are 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- You hold an active RBT credential, or you are willing to complete the 40-hour training and competency assessment
- You can pass a background check and have reliable transportation
- You communicate clearly with families, supervisors, and teammates
- You stay patient and consistent, even on the harder days
Experience in childcare, special education, or as a paraprofessional helps, but it is not required. We provide supervision, ongoing training, and a clear path toward advanced roles for people who want to grow in the field.
Why people stay with us
We are locally owned and small enough that you are not a number here. You get real supervision from BCBAs who know your caseload, schedules built around your availability, and a team that celebrates the small wins alongside the big ones. When you grow, our clients grow with you.
